Create a BOGO (Buy X Get Y) Discount
Use BOGO Discounts to reward customers with a free or discounted product when they buy a specific item. Great for bundling, clearing inventory, or increasing average order value (AOV).
Here’s how to set it up in the FAD – Auto Discounts app:
Step #1: Click “Create Discount”:
From your FAD dashboard, click the “Create Discount” button.
Step #2: Choose Discount Type – Volume Discount:
Select “Buy X Get Y (BOGO)” from the available discount types and click Configure.
Step #3: Select Discount Method – Automatic or Discount Code:
Decide how the discount should be applied:
- Automatic Discount: Applies automatically at checkout.
- Discount Code: Customers must manually enter the code at checkout.
Step #4: Add Discount Title & Description:
- Title: Used for internal tracking inside the app.
- Description: Optional note to help you identify the campaign.
Step #5: Set Discount Combination Options:
Choose whether your BOGO discount can be combined with:
- Order Discounts
- Product Discounts
- Shipping Discounts
Enable the combinations you want this offer to support.
Step #6: Enter Offer Name:
Give your discount a clear internal name under Offer Details. This helps you identify and manage it later inside the app.
For example, “Buy 2 Get 1 Free – BOGO Applied”
Step #7: Select your BOGO type:
By default, the BOGO (BUY X GET Y) offer is selected.
Step #8: Define BOGO Discount:
You’ll now set up the “Buy” and “Get” logic:
1. Customer Buys:
- Choose products or collections that the customer must buy.
- Set the minimum quantity required (e.g., Buy 2).
2. Customer Gets:
- Choose the product(s) or collections that customers get.
- Set how many items to give (e.g., Get 1).
Step #9: Set Discount Rule:
Set your BOGO discount rules as per your needs.
And choose the discount type:
- Fixed amount discounts
- Percentage discount
Step #10: Set Schedule:
Choose when the offer runs:
- Run discount continuously: Always active.
- Run discount on schedule: Set custom start and end dates.
Step #11: Save Your Discount:
Once all fields are filled out, click the “Create” button in the top-right or bottom-right corner.
Your bogo discount will now be active and applied automatically based on the rules you set.
BOGO Offer Widget Designing:
The BOGO (Buy One, Get One) widget in FAD allows you to visually promote Buy X Get Y deals directly on your product pages.
This interactive widget helps customers easily understand and claim their BOGO offers, boosting both conversions and customer satisfaction.
You can fully customize the widget’s text, color scheme, and layout to align with your brand’s identity.
Step: From the top, click on “Discount widget”
| Field | Description |
| Title | Main heading of the widget. For example: “Buy One, Get One Free!” |
| Title Text Color | Sets the color of the title text. |
| Title Background Color | Controls the background color of the widget title bar. |
| Claim Button Text | Text displayed on the button used to claim the offer. For example: “Click to Avail” |
| Claim Button Text Color | Text color inside the claim button. |
| Claim Button Background Color | Color of the claim button background. |
| Quantity Badge Text Color | Color of the text inside the small “Qty” badges. |
| Quantity Badge Background Color | Color behind the quantity badges |
| Font Color | Overall text color inside the widget. |
| Background Color | Background color of the entire widget body. |
| Border Color | Color of the widget borders. |
| Collection Notice | A helpful note guiding users to select products. For example: “Choose a product from the collection”. |
Real-time Widget Preview:
A live BOGO Widget Preview on the right side allows you to instantly visualize your changes, from color adjustments to the title and button text.
