Create Rules Based on Order Details
Create a rule based on Order Details Validate the checkout by setting conditions on the order’s total amount or subtotal amount to enforce minimums, maximums, or custom thresholds.
1. Order Total Amount
Create a rule to validate the order’s total amount to control checkout based on the final payable value.
Create Order Total Validation Rule:
- Select Order Total: From the Select Rule Type dropdown, choose Order Total Amount to target the complete payable value of the customer’s cart.
- Choose the Condition Operator: From the operators (Greater than or equals, Less than or equals), define the logic to match order values.
- Enter Amount: Input the specific amount (e.g., “100”) to set the threshold for validation.
- Validation Error Message: Add a custom error message to display when the condition met.
Use Cases:
- Block checkout for orders below minimum value (e.g., less than $50).
- Allow only high-value orders (e.g., above $500).
- Restrict discounts for specific order ranges.
- Prevent small/invalid orders.
2. Order Subtotal Amount
Create a rule to validate the order’s subtotal amount.
Create Order Subtotal Rule:

Select Order Subtotal: From the Select Rule Type dropdown, choose Order Subtotal Amount to validate the order value.

Choose the Condition Operator: From the operators (Greater than or equals, Less than or equals), define the logic to match order values.

Enter Amount: Input the subtotal value to enforce conditions.

Validation Error Message: Add a custom error message to display when the condition met.
Use Cases:
- Restrict checkout if product value is too low (e.g., under $30).
- Set eligibility for free gift or offer above a certain subtotal.
- Block checkout for wholesale orders below required minimums.
