Create Order Discounts
Order discounts let you offer a flat or percentage discount based on the total cart value. This type of discount is ideal for encouraging customers to spend more by rewarding them at checkout.
Here’s how to set it up in the FAD – Auto Discounts app:
Step #1: Click on Create Discount” from the FAD dashboard:
Step #2: Choose Order discount:
Step #3: Select Discount Method – Automatic or Discount Code:
Choose how the discount should be applied:
- Automatic Discount: The discount will be applied automatically when the customer meets the conditions. No code is needed at checkout.
- Discount Code: Customers must manually enter the discount code during checkout to receive the offer.
Step #4: Enter Discount Title & Description:
Add a clear Title and a short Description for the discount.
These are for internal use only to help you identify and manage your offers easily within the app.
Step #5: Set Discount Combination Options:
In this section, you can choose whether the Free Gift With Purchase discount can be combined with other types of discounts.
You have three options:
- Order Discount: Enables the gift offer to be applied in conjunction with overall order-level discounts (e.g., 10% off entire order).
- Product Discount: Let’s the gift offer run with product-specific discounts (e.g., 20% off a particular item).
Shipping Discount: Enables the customer to receive the gift along with shipping promotions (e.g., free shipping).
Step #6: Add the tier title for internal use:
Step #7: Rule tier status:
This setting allows you to control whether a specific discount tier (or offer level) is active or not.
Step #8: Choose how conditions will be applied, like all or any:
Step #9: Choose customization rules for the discount:
In this step, you can set conditions or rules that decide when the discount should apply. These rules help you control how and to whom the discount is offered.
Step #10: Then select the rule condition:
Step #11: Create multiple rules for the order discounts for that click on “Add condition”.
Step #12: We’ve created the 2nd rule:
Step #13: Add the discount label, which will be visible on the checkout page:
And choose the discount type:
- Fixed discounts
Percentage discount
Step #14: Schedule Setting:
Choose when the offer runs:
- Run discount continuously: Always active.
- Run discount on schedule: Set custom start and end dates.
Step #15: Click “Create”:
