We’ve launched an improvement to how free shipping rules work in Shipzip.

Earlier behavior:

If you created a rule like “Free shipping on orders over $240”, Shipzip checked the original cart total.

So even if a customer applied a discount (for example, 10% off) and the checkout value dropped to $225, free shipping was still applied because the original total was $250.

What’s changed now:

Shipzip now considers the final discounted order value.

How it works:

Free shipping is applied only if the checkout total after discounts meets your rule amount.

For example:

• Free shipping over $240
• Cart total: $250
• Discount applied: 10% – final value $225
• Free shipping will not apply (because the final value is below $250)

• Better control over shipping costs
