Shipoff lets you create different types of shipping discounts based on flexible rule sets. You can choose the type of rule that matches your shipping strategy.

1. Rule Set 1 – Multiple Conditions

This rule set offers the most variety and flexibility. You can create discounts based on many different conditions and even combine them for precise targeting.

Tier Setup:

With tiers, you can set different discount amounts or offers for different scenarios — all inside one setup — instead of creating separate rules for each condition.

Example – Multiple Tiers in One Rule:

  • Tier 1: If subtotal is $50–$99, apply a $5 shipping discount.
  • Tier 2: If subtotal is $100–$149, apply $10 shipping discount.
  • Tier 3: If subtotal is $150+, apply Free Shipping.

Available conditions include:

  • Subtotal Amount: Discount applies if the cart subtotal (before shipping/tax) meets a set amount.
  • Discounted Subtotal: Uses the subtotal after discounts are applied.
  • Total Weight: Discount triggers if the total cart weight meets your set limit.
  • Total Quantity: Checks the total number of items in the cart.
  • Selected Delivery Method Amount: Applies based on the cost of the selected delivery method.
  • SKU / SKU Quantity: Target specific products using SKU codes or the quantity of those SKUs.
  • Choose Collection / Collection Total / Collection Quantity: Limit discounts to certain product collections.
  • Country / Province Code / Zip Code: Offer discounts only to certain locations.
  • City / Address Line: Target by specific cities or parts of addresses.
  • Customer Tags: Apply discounts to tagged customers (e.g., VIP, Wholesale).
  • Total Spend: Based on a customer’s lifetime spend.
  • Always: Applies the discount to all orders without conditions.
  • Delivery Location Count: Set discounts if a certain number of delivery locations are met.

2. Rule Set 2 – Advanced Targeting

This set is for more specialized and advanced conditions. It works well if you want to target discounts based on product details, customer information, or subscription data.

Available conditions include:

  • All basic cart rules from Rule Set 1 (like Subtotal Amount, Country, Collection)
  • Cart Attribute: Use custom cart data fields to trigger discounts.
  • Line Property: Apply based on custom line item details.
  • B2B Company Name: Offer special rates for specific companies.
  • Locale / Language: Target customers based on their store language or region setting.
  • Subscription ID: Create discounts for certain subscriptions.
  • Variant Title / Variant Metafield / Product Metafield: Target product variations or custom product data.
  • Date / Day of Week / Time: Offer discounts during specific periods (e.g., weekends only).
  • Subscription Product Total: Apply based on total subscription product value.

3. Rule Set 3 – Simple Rules

A quick and basic option for simple shipping discounts.

Available conditions include:

  • Subtotal Amount
  • Customer Metafield (custom customer-specific data)

4. Tier-Based Shipping Discounts

This set is designed for tiered promotions where shipping discounts change depending on the cart total, weight, or quantity.

Tier Setup:

With tiers, you can set different discount amounts or offers for different scenarios — all inside one setup — instead of creating separate rules for each condition.

Examples – Tier Setups:

By Quantity:

  • Tier 1: 1–2 items → $8 shipping
  • Tier 2: 3–5 items → $4 shipping
  • Tier 3: 6+ items → Free shipping

By Weight:

  • Tier 1: 0–2 kg → $5 shipping
  • Tier 2: 2.01–5 kg → $3 shipping
  • Tier 3: 5+ kg → Free shipping

Available conditions include:

  • Total Amount / Subtotal Amount: Base tiers on how much the customer spends.
  • Original Product Amount: Use the original (non-discounted) product price.
  • Weight / Quantity: Create shipping tiers based on weight or quantity ranges.
  • Collection Total: Tiers based on the total of specific collections.
